who is the jabberwocky?
Last week I watched Alice in Wonderland directed by Tim Burton. Yes if you saw a male with broad shoulders and unshaved beard lurking around the cinema entrance somewhere in Ipoh, waiting for the 'entry call' that's probably me. I'm not an expert in this field but the film perpetually moved my thought toward unparalel motion. I mean the film really snatches the 'cliche' of the original version. It defies conventions and encourages the audience to discard traditions. The provocation is generated brilliantly through funny dialogues. The cunning characters undeniably have done their jobs well. Apart from pumping iron, I also read a lot of these stuffs when I was doing my degree and eventually the reading has taken its toll (in positive manner) because it gives me the insight of today's world. Future scenarios are the results of past events and in Aesop's fables, humans nature had been studied and showcased in the immortal stories, using animals to camaflouge potential messages. Read Animal Farm by George Orwel to know about basic politicking skills and graduate further up by tuning to any Tv stations which show prime time buletin. You'll see the connection and perhaps you will not be in 'wonderland' ever again.

Fire Power
At the shooting range, I learnt one thing which is very important...Never play around with guns or get distracted. In one occasion, we were doing an important procudere that came at the last stage in the shooting practice. It was to clear the bullet compartment of the M16 rifle from a bullet or bullets that might still remain 'unseen' in the chamber. Everybody had to stand up with the right hand holding the rifle's pistol grip. After making sure the compartment had been secured, we had to 'slap' the breach block button and automatically the sliding mechanism lurched forward. Then a loud 'bang' echoed. One rifle was still loaded and the cadet behind me accidentally pulled the trigger... He was standing right behind me. The bullet whizzed over my head and went straight up. I turned my head and saw the cadet who was still astonished with his mouth agape. The Instructors were looking at each other and believe me, their faces were as white as a surprised ghost. I thought the cadet must have miscalculated the amount of bullets contained in the magazine. So after finishing his 19th-bullet, he assumed there was no bullet left...leaving behind a 5.56 mm in the bullet compartment. It is a classic example of one small failure which leads to a bigger catastrophy. A wake up call that resonates eternal pulse in me...the pulse that reverberates continuously which carry one crucial message...You do not know when your time is up.

Don't be confused
Don't be confused by their colourful appearances.
Well they like to show the opposite of themselves. I pitty these individuals a lot as they are allegedly trapped inside the wrong 'compartment' as alleged by their own kind. I bumped into them quite a lot and this showed that their population has steadily increased. Why opt to be a male when you have small non muscular body frame, I mean, look at yourself in front of the mirror. If you want to be one, make sure you don't just wear a T-shirt which has uniformed stripes and a pair of bermuda shorts. It is too cliche. Change your physical 'setting.' Build enough muscles. Men don't wear shoulder pads. Make sure at the end of the training session (if you can afford one) your body resembles V -shape starting from the waist up. If you still have pear-shaped figure or hour glass figure, forget about dreaming to become like one. A real man doesn't have to stock himself with eternal carbo supply around his waist. By the way, eat a lot of testosterone enhancer pills and discard the estrrogen and progesteron hormone if you can, or can you? Am I confusing myself?

Which path should you follow?
There are a lot of useless buzzing when I started this venture but for me there is no use of trying to replace Nostradamus. Prophecy still haunts the community. They merely make prediction and prophecise as though everything is in their hands. Of course like the Mayan calendar, only the negatives and distortions come out. Nostradamus' predictions were being stretched like play doh to fit current events. They did not have similarities but words and phrases were added to coincidentally connect the unrelated paths of different labyrinths. But still, his prophecies are regarded as flawless although majority of us know the truth. This is the modus operandi of the skewed ones. So it is understood why the community behaved in such a way. For them truth can only be verified if they can agree with the facts presented. A's or B's opinion is considered secondary. So ask yourself this question; Which path should you follow?

Steady hand
I don't like to bring along the cumbersome tripod as it limits my movement and at the same time I don't have to worry about the safety of that RM300 plus handycam stabilizer. The function of the tripod has been replaced by two sets of priceless organic arms which are directly attached to my shoulders(my hands). It is an effective method of using your hands as tripod replacement, just make sure both of the reliable appendages are really steady and of course years of training in the Army Reserve Unit has resulted in significant increase of upper body strength. The shooting practice develops steady grip as I have to be calm before pulling the trigger once the pin-point accuracy has been acquired through the cross-hair. Breathing and heartbeat have to be in sync because a slight vibration could distort the end result although the target has been securely locked.
Live 5.56mm bullets are enough to clear any distractions out of your head since your platoon mates are close by. Careless mistakes are potentially fatal in nature. When shooting video, mistakes can be rectified on the spot, at the shooting range; it is either a bullet straying off its intended path or exit wound injuries. It is obvious that shooting videos are far less risky.
So the training I've received so far is after all very useful even though both are worlds apart, the essence is still the same.

Why go HD?
High Definition is a format introduced by AV giants in which the resolution has a quicker interlace speed compared to normal cathode ray tube (CRT) which operates at a lower interlace speed. Since the eyes can't detect the interlace process, the brain interprets the images as moving in harmonious flow.
You can use a hphone VGA camera or a compact camera to see the 'flickering' effect but it is impossible to detect the flickers on HD TV. A florescent bulb flickers at 1000 times per second thus the light seems to be glowing continuously. HD TV is specially made to work perfectly with HDMI cable, the perfect footage you see on the HD TV at the shopping mall should not sway you. Look at the video player which feeds the footage. Normally they play BLu Ray disc in order to showcase crisp and highly detailed pictures. If they use normal coaxical cable (terrestrial TV), the image will be of less quality and of course it can affect the customers' decision. When you change the setting of HD TV, make sure you opt for 16:9 widescreen mode. If you want to watch high def pictures, buy a Blu Ray player. Even a post-paid TV company could not provide HD format for all the programs shown. Only specifically selected programs are availabe in HD. The rest is still shown in standard definition eventhough the receiver utilizes HDMI.

Wasp sting (common sense prevails)
Two wasp nests were found dangling precariously from a tree branch, waiting for Mr gravity to pull them down. From afar, it looked like the nests were as calm as Daim's face but the buzzing inside never failed to stop. I immediately called the fire and rescue department and before the night shifted to morning, the nests were already history. Two brave firemen managed to 'subdue' the sim card sized monsters. What i'm trying to convey here is about the inability of a few men who have proudly accepted the self-appointed positions, 'welfare department'/ security department/ fund collection department...you name it, they have it all. I mean, these guys are a bunch of hilarous freak show wannabes. I did not go through them and still managed to call the F&R. They are everywhere but always in that same old group of cronies.Talking and talking and the only action is from the movement of their tobacco stained lips. And the service I know they're offering is only the 'lip service'.

feel the heat
Why do we have to succumb to the so called 'Earth Day' campaign. We should ask ourselves these questions repeatedly, of course before switching off the lights. How many sovereign countries abstained themselves from voting in favour of Palestinian people who are being victimized on daily basis? There are more than the digits you have. How many VIPs left the UN building when issues were raised pertaining to these people?
Yet we still want to participate in whatever the events they throw at us. Congratulations everybody!

Indefinitely yours
The phone keeps on ringing. Questions asked and answered in a matter of minutes. Sometimes they agree but cancellation is expected as there are too many possibilities ahead. Cheaper alternatives are abundant. It lures the customers and of course 'customers are always right'. It is a norm in this industry where you have to decide whether to keep the price tag above par or suffer the effects. Maybe it is better to balance the price and let the volumes send you smiling all the way to the bank. Sometimes you have to symbiotically connect to different hosts to survive and of course there will be obstacles up ahead but make sure you utilize the less significant 'side mirrors' quite often nowadays, just to make sure the 'tsunami' does not run you down.
Tolerable mistakes
A few years back, my hardware was so basic. The post production quality was not that palatable. I was in conundrum. Then I stopped. I decided to concentrate on something else which was a stark difference from my real passion. It managed to steer me away and it did provide useful distraction after all.To cut the story short, I bounced back and muster the remaining energy. I did simple but thorough research and made a few phone calls...I waited for a few weeks and the hardware finally arrived. Now after doing some field and technical studies, my confidence grows larger. The market begins to spread like wildfire and as long as the lens is able to capture the amazing sparks from your smiles, the venture will remain steady...as steady as my Steadicam Studio 1081. Just smile and let the lens capture the priceless moment.
